                   2016 Police Officer of the Year


It is an honor and privilege to announce that Corporal Jeff Reinhart has been selected as Sebring Police Department’s Police Officer of the Year for 2016.

Corporal Reinhart was recognized by his peers for locating and ultimately initiating the apprehension of four suspects who were committing a burglary in progress on March 16, 2016. Jeff’s attentiveness led to him detecting the crime in progress while on patrol. Furthermore, Corporal Reinhart’s actions were directly responsible for the recovery of stolen property valued at more than two-thousand dollars.

Corporal Reinhart was born in Miami and raised in Sebring where he graduated from Sebring High School in 1997. He attended law enforcement training at Polk State College and was employed by the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office from December 1999 to August of 2006. In June of 2009 Jeff was employed by the Sebring Police Department as a part-time police officer and he transferred to full-time status in August of 2009 where he has since worked in both Patrol and Investigations. Jeff resides with his fiancée Lindsey. Corporal Reinhart enjoys being outdoors, fishing, camping, and hunting.

Corporal Reinhart is currently assigned to the Patrol Division, where he has been doing a superb job for the agency. He is a dedicated, hardworking professional and has been a great asset to the Sebring Police Department and the City of Sebring during his law enforcement career. Corporal Reinhart is truly one of “Sebring’s finest”.
